Who you're contracting with
YM Athletic is an online coaching business operating in England, run by Maksym and Yahel.
- Email: athletic.ym@gmail.com
- Instagram: @athletic.ym
- Coaching is delivered by qualified personal trainers.
Throughout these terms, "we" and "us" means YM Athletic; "you" means the person buying coaching.
What these terms cover
These terms apply when you buy any coaching plan or in-person session block from us. Buying means you accept them. We'll send you a copy by email when you pay, so you always have them in writing.
Read them alongside our cancellation and refunds policy and our privacy policy, which form part of this agreement.
These terms don't affect your legal rights as a consumer. Nothing here takes those away.
What we provide
Depending on the plan you buy, coaching includes some or all of the following:
- A live onboarding call, including a movement screen
- A training programme built around your schedule, revised as your life changes
- Nutrition targets and general food guidance
- Weekly check-ins with video feedback
- Form review on lifts you film and send us
- Direct messaging access, at the response speed stated on your plan
- A monthly progress snapshot
- On Coaching+, a monthly live 1-1 session by video
What we don't provide
We are coaches, not clinicians. We do not diagnose, treat or manage any medical condition, and nothing we give you is medical advice, physiotherapy, or clinical dietetic advice. We don't prescribe or advise on medication or supplements for treating conditions.
If you have a condition, an injury, or symptoms that need clinical input, we'll tell you to see a doctor or a physiotherapist, and we may pause coaching until you have.
Your health — and what you have to tell us
Before we build you anything, you'll complete a health screening questionnaire. You agree that:
- The information you give us is accurate and complete, including injuries, medical conditions, medication, pregnancy, and any surgery.
- You'll tell us straight away if any of that changes while you're coached by us.
- Where your answers indicate it, you'll get clearance from your GP before starting or continuing.
- You're responsible for exercising within your own limits and stopping if something feels wrong.
Stop exercising and get medical attention if you experience chest pain, severe breathlessness, dizziness, fainting, or pain that is sharp rather than muscular effort. Contact emergency services if symptoms are severe.
Exercise carries an inherent risk of injury. Following a programme correctly reduces that risk but does not remove it. By training with us you accept that risk knowingly.
Paying for coaching
Monthly plans
Coaching is £300 a month. Coaching+ is £350 a month. Payment is taken by card through Stripe on the day you sign up and on the same date each month after that. All prices include VAT where applicable; we are not currently VAT registered.
Coaching is monthly rolling from day one. There is no minimum term, no notice period and no exit fee.
In-person session blocks
Sessions are £70 each, bought in blocks of four (£280) or eight (£520). Blocks are paid for upfront and are an add-on to a running coaching plan, not sold on their own.
If a payment fails
We'll let you know and Stripe will retry. If payment hasn't succeeded after 7 days we may pause coaching until it does. We won't charge you a fee for a failed payment.
Price changes
We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change affecting you. If you don't want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect and you'll owe nothing further.
Cancelling
You have a 14-day right to cancel from the day you buy, and separate rights to stop a rolling subscription at any time. Both are set out in full on the cancellation and refunds page, along with how to do it and how quickly you get your money back.
In short: coaching starts immediately at your request, so if you cancel inside the 14 days we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the coaching already delivered. After that, cancel any time and you keep access until the end of the month you've paid for.
In-person sessions
- Venue is agreed before you buy. Your gym if they permit outside coaches, or a nearby one that does. You'll have the address before you pay for a block.
- Sessions run one hour unless we've agreed otherwise.
- Rescheduling is free with 24 hours' notice. Under 24 hours, or not turning up, and the session counts as used — the time and the journey were held for you.
- Blocks last 12 weeks from purchase. If illness, injury or something outside your control gets in the way, tell us and we'll extend the window rather than let sessions lapse.
- You must follow the rules of whatever venue we train in.
- If we have to cancel a session, you get it back at no cost, or refunded if you'd rather.
What we ask of you
- Give us honest information, and honest check-ins — the programme is only as good as what you tell us.
- Don't share, resell or republish your programme, videos or materials. They're licensed to you personally.
- Treat us decently. We'll do the same. We may end coaching immediately, with a pro-rata refund of any unused month, if someone is abusive.
Photos, testimonials and your likeness
We'll never publish your photos, video, name or results without your specific written permission, given separately from these terms. Progress photos you send for coaching are used for coaching only.
You can withdraw permission at any time. We'll remove the material from anything we control, though we can't always pull it back from places others have shared it.
Where our responsibility sits
We'll deliver coaching with reasonable care and skill, as the Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires. If we don't, you're entitled to have it put right or to a price reduction.
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Nothing in these terms should be read as trying to.
We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, for outcomes that depend on your own adherence, or for injury arising from you not telling us something about your health that we asked about.
Results vary between people. We don't guarantee a specific weight, body composition, strength number or timeframe, and we never will.
Your data
We collect health information about you, which UK data protection law treats as a special category needing extra care. We ask for your explicit consent before collecting it and we only use it to coach you.
What we collect, why, who it's shared with and how long we keep it is set out in the privacy policy.
If something goes wrong
Email athletic.ym@gmail.com with "Complaint" in the subject. We'll acknowledge within 3 working days and give you a full response within 14 days.
If we can't resolve it between us, you can take it to an alternative dispute resolution provider. We are not currently signed up to a specific ADR scheme, and we'll tell you so in writing if we reach that point. You can also raise consumer complaints with Citizens Advice, and you keep the right to go to court.
Changes, and the law that applies
We may update these terms. If a change affects an existing client materially, we'll email you at least 30 days beforehand and you can cancel free of charge if you don't accept it.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own courts.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
